About the Jacksonville String Quartet

The Jacksonville String Quartet is a group of classical string players based in Jacksonville, FL and serving Northeast Florida and South Georgia. We specialize in weddings and have been playing together in and around Jacksonville for over 4 years. Our musicians have studied their instruments and classical music for 10+ years individually and bring the utmost professionalism and elegance to your event. We make choosing your music for your big day or special event as simple and stress-free as possible and are able to accomodate most requests for non-classical music. San Marco Preservation Hall...

March 27, 2011
San Marco Preservation Hall
and
Matthew's Restaurant

Our quartet played for a second time at the beautiful San Marco Preservation Hall and then for cocktail hour at Matthew's Restaurant. The last time we played there in September, another bride happened to walk by and hear our group warming up and decided to have her wedding there with the Jacksonville String Quartet! For our March wedding, we got to try out some of our new pop arrangements for quartet including Yellow by Coldplay and Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. Here are a few pictures we captured before the ceremony...

Historic First Presbyterian Church in St. Marys...

March 26, 2011
Historic First Presbyterian Church
and
Orange Hall

Olivia and Anna played as a duet right in the heart of historic St. Marys, first at the Presbyterian Church and then across the street at the Orange Hall for cocktail hour. The acoustics in the historic church were incredible and quite a treat for us classical musicians. We just love any excuse to come see the beautiful scenery in St. Marys and play in 19th century buildings!

Epping Forest Yacht Club

Our trio performed at a second wedding and cocktail hour for this busy day in March at the breathtaking Epping Forest Yacht Club. Playing the music of Handel and Vivaldi while looking out on this view of the St. Johns isn't a bad way to spend a Saturday!

The quartet in Fernandina Beach...

November 5, 2010
St. Michael's Catholic Church

The JSQ got to play one of our rare quartet weddings in the beautiful, historic Fernandina Beach. This was our group's first time playing in Fernandina and we have to say, we don't mind the drive at all! Jeremy, Monique, Leah and Anna performed a mix of classical and pop including the Viva la Vida by Coldplay for the recessional. Here's a few photos we snapped on the iPhone.
